a question about uplay version

Hi everyone,
i bought 2 editions of the silent hunter 5 series, 1 on steam ( i bought the package contain 3 4 5) and other one is silent hunter 5 gold edition on uplay.

As i want to install the uplay edition to play with the wolves of steel mod, but somehow when i click the install button on uplay it turn right into steam install, whatever method i try to turn off steam and install the uplay version it does not work, it auto start steam again and again.
sorry for my bad English but any solution for that?

To play Silent Hunter 5 you have to sign up for a Uplay account.

This what i get when I try to start SH5 I have done the cd version of the install I have done a digital version with my Amazon account .. It says the server is not online and I cannot enter the product key when I close the Uplay and restart the game this what I get

I installed SH5 On My c drive whilst I I have Up play in my ubisoft folder which contains SH4

Hi kim
It would appear that you have a clash going on between different versions.

Go to the control panels program and features and Unistall Silent Hunter 5 and accept the prompt to delete saved games.
Also next Uninstall the Ubisoft Game Launcher.

Go to C:\Program files (x86) directory and delete the Ubisoft folder there.

Check your C:\Documents\ and make sure that there is no SH5 folder showing.

You say you have installed SH5 in your C:\Ubisoft folder.
I am assuming the path you used was C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5.

Go to C:\Ubisoft\ and delete the folder that contains your Silent Hunter 5 game.

Now use the registry cleaner.

Reboot your system.

Your cd version is the one to use to install your game.

First go to C:\Ubisoft and make a new folder called Silent Hunter 5.
Use the cd custom installation and this will give you options including where to install your game.

The default installation is C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5
Use the browse button and select C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5
Your game will install to that path.
If you want to install it differently then make the new path and use the browse button to find it.

You will see an error message regarding graphics near the end of the installation which you can ignore.

I installed the new U-play software As read in your tutorials

than I tried the offline mode to enter the key .... was trying to see if I could bypass being online and enter the key to my CD using "activate product"

Now being a user of Sh5 before darkwraith has a patcher that did away with the Up-play app .. Should I mod with sobers new Mod that recently came out ? and than run that patcher and see if that works ?

SH5 in any form has to have Uplay as it contains the game launcher and you cannot bypass it in a conventional way.

The patcher is a separte application that is not related in the same way as mods.
sobers, TWOS, WOTD mega mods will make n o difference to your current problem.

There are 2 things you can try here.

Go to your game launcher folder.
Change the Uplay application to run as an administrator and then open it.
If you get the same error message use the Esc key 2 times and try again.
If that does not work.

8 files above the Uplay application is the game launcher application.
Change this application to run as an administrator and then open it.
If you get the same error message use the Esc key 2 times and try again.
