Just wanted to ask. I got SH4 on Steam sale as I saw that there were mods to fix some of the problems with it.

Does SH5 have most the issues fixed now? What mods should I grab if I get it. I was under the impression that SH5 was a bust for some reason? I guess I would like to have the newer game if it works properly now.

Hi Hawk
Steam is incompatible with an essential SH5 application.
The other problem with Steam is that it will only work in the restrictive Program files (x86) directory.

Steam can be used but you will need to do this conversion.

Check out Amazon I hear that their SH5 download is quite cheap.

If your intention is to play SH5 then use this is the ultimate SH5 gaming experience.

Alrighty I will look into it. Thanks

I did grab the Steam version but it uses Uplay? So not sure if its still not mod-able?

I have been having some fun but hit a few bugs already. Like sub not holding set depth and a few others haha.

Is there any kind of bug patcher that will work on the Steam version or do you just have to full out mod it to fix the issues?

I guess I will grab the Amazon version aswell then I guess I can have two installs.

Hi Hawk
not sure if its still not mod-able? Steam can be always be modded.
but it uses Uplay All SH5 versions automatically use Uplay as the game launcher is installed through them.
Like sub not holding set depthYou have already experienced one of the bug problems that is cured by the essential application I mentioned before.

So if I grab it on Amazon I can just mod it without going through Steam conversion brain damage?

... don't install it in a Windows' Program Files directory. Make a directory (folder) yourself, and install it there, or just delete the "Program Files (x86)\" portion off, and use what Ubisoft has. THEBERBSTER has that link in his signature for a reason... :03:
