Greetings,

I just fired up the old SH5 for the first time in over a year. Life keeps getting in the way.
Sometime last year I installed TWOS v. 1.05 and still running that. I know I probably should update but I can't afford it timewise, life might suddenly need me back in action :)

So to my first (most likely of many) questions; I've completed the objectives of Baltic Op. spent every eel and deck-gun ammo, even the AA-shells. It's 5th of September. I've read somewhere that twos will end my patrol when the time limit is up, is that correct or do I still have to return to Kiel on prompt as I seem to remember from the old days? Will there be a radiomessage?

Thanks in advance for any tips and input

A Warm Welcome Back to Subsim and TWOS Capt. Dunkel

It does not make sense to continue with v1.05 version that is 2 versions old especially as you have only just started your career anyway.
The whole point of game updates is to improve it especially when it comes to ironing out problems that have been around for a number of years.
Taking the time to update to v2.0.0 with update v2.0.4 will make a big difference to your enjoyment over those long dark nights.

Thanks Peter, I know. I recall spending far too long getting this game to work properly to start fiddling with it again. I simply do not have the hours available, and would rather abandon the game entirely.

So the question regarding the patrol end is because I've "wasted" hours trying to figure it out myself and now as a last resort I simply ask the forum. I traveled from Baltic Sea to Kiel (dept. patrol area 5/9 a.m. - arr. Kiel 6/9 p.m) ended patrol, upgraded/refitted and accepted British Coastal. Upon quit to desktop the Baltic-job was listed as "pending" suggesting something is wrong.
Would like to know if I'm just to ignore it and keep heading towards UK East or reload the save from Baltic to complete the mission correctly.

Thanks
