Have not played in over a year. Went to Ubisoft, my account and downloaded the software. I attempted to run it and got a flashing on and off of a video trailer. I was unable to close and had to shut down computer. Fix was to put check in box in properties to "over ride DPI scaling", problem fixed. Downloaded Software does not give you option on where to install or what language. I wanted to use German. Many days and attempts. Sent a Q to ubi, still waiting.
Meantime, with UBI SW downloaded and not run, I went back to Amazon where I originally purchased SH and down loaded that software. Ran it and it suggested putting SH in C://ubisoft. Not Programs file and brought up the language option. Runs fine without mods. Will mod when I get time. Hope this helps someone

i did the same which is i downloaded files from amazon. Did u let ubisoft download the game files or did u just launch it from amazon icon. I did from amazon icon and after all that, when i go to press play from ubi launcher i get error message "sh5 has stopped working". Any advise?

Uninstall the Ubisoft Game launcher from the Comtrol Panels Prograqm and Features.
Run a registry cleaner.

Reboot your system.

Install new game launcher from here.

In my case I had to get the latest UBI launcher as Berbster said. I think when you install the Amazon version it installs the old launcher. I did hear from UBI and they offered their solution which mainly consisted to uninstalling the launcher, their software, manually finding and deleting registry settings. making backups, reinstalling. They did offer to help walk me through it if I needed.
I must say vdr1981 and the people that worked on TWOS did a fantastic job, The Berbster has made this sight much better. Thanks to all.
