SHIII & GWX issues..

Hey guys,

Firstly, I apologies for asking a question that I am sure has been answered before but I have scoured the web up and down with no avail.

Secondly, So... I launched a Career and it took me down towards the Med. I completed my patrol before launching my assault on the port there and sunk 5 ships (Including sinking 2 when leaving the mouth back into the Atlantic). I got another one when returning back to base with the gun. I never made it to base because I saved it and went off to bed (At about 3am UK time).
The day following, I returned to finish what I had started. The load crashed on after it had loaded. Since, it crashes either when loading or what it has loaded and it says "Not so long ago...". GWX is the only Mod I have for SH3 and, like I said, I cannot find a fix!

Things to note:
Its SH3 on Steam and was bought not even a week ago from today date.

I'm not too technically minded so a Laymans guide might be in order :P

Corrupted save game.

General "guidelines" about saving an SH3 game are;
Do not save near land (20ish KM)
do not save under water
Do not save near a target sinking(48 KM
Do not save near targets (48KM)
Do save at all stop
Do save paused

Hello,

This sometimes helps as it has done it once before when this methods been used but its working for the majority. I now just try to get back to the Pens if I can help it but that's not always the case.

If you are running Windows 10 you need to run in compatibility mode Windows 7
Run your SH3.exe, GWX, and JGME all in administrator mode.
You also need to use the 4gb patch if you are not already doing so.

The save crash is a stock problem so with or without GWX its a stock problem you get it ?

The best solution to avoid this type of problem and to loose your whole career ?
Dont save at all.
