SH3 not working since Windows 10 update

Ever since Windows 10 decided to update itself last week I have been unable to play any of my versions of SH3, vanilla, GWX or LSH.

The movies come on and finish then the screen goes black and then nothing, well almost you can hear that the game has got to the menu screen but cannot see anything.

I have updated my AMD Radeon RX drivers to latest etc but still no go.

Anyone got a solution to this?

What folder do you have the game installed in? Are you trying to run it as Administrator?

I had problems with the "latest" drivers from AMD's site. I installed the "latest" drivers from my video card's manufacture (ASUS) and all went back to great ! Hope this helps.

Yeah...I had the same problem a couple of years ago with Win 7 updates and video card (NVIDIA) driver updates. Doolar's solution worked for me back then...roll back the video card drivers. Then disable those "automatic" updates...all of them if you can...to #e!! with the Microsoft tyrants!

Got it working!

I had to go back several generations of the AMD Catalyst drivers (Sapphire do not do their own drivers) and did clean install.

But all good no so thanks.

If your system can handle it I recommend running the game in a VM of windows 7. Will remain unaffected by driver updates and windows 10 updates
