You've forgot Black Sea "masterpiece" with amassing Jude Law performances...:O:

"Pressure" is not bad although it is not genuine submarine movie...

By the way, "U-571" is on your list?! No comment, except...

Have not watched Black Sea, will do so.

LOL I knew someone would rag on me for U-571. Yes, I am aware of the historical inaccuracies, HMS Bulldog was first to capture the enigma among other things. Still a decent movie though.

They would be numbers 11 and 12. Good flicks. The scene where they sink a truck was inspired by a real life thing I belive, torpedo hit a dock or something. I forget which sub it was.

Many items in the movie were based on reality. The truck was inspired by the Bowfin (http://www.navsource.org/archives//08/0828709.jpg) knocking a bus off a dock. The toilet paper memo was copied from life. The incomplete paint job and sinking at the pier were both based on (I think) Sealion. She was sunk at the dock, and in the process burned the black paint of a nearby boat, leaving it with the red undercoating exposed.

You really don't have to...

It's really not about historical inaccuracies IMO. For example, Red October and Crimson Tide are not historically "accurate" as well, but they are pretty good movies...U-571 is just, I dont know...Dumb...:D That's just my opinion of course...:yep:

I have always liked "The Bedford Incident". Not entirely a sub film, although one plays a significant part, but an excellent study of the sub hunter psychology during the Cold War.
