Silent Hunter 3

Hello everyone just joined today. I had Silent hunter 3 many years ago and gave it to my son, he tried running it on his new computer but it would not work. I just purchased SH3 from Amazon and I am hoping it will work on my OS system.

System ---Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. The game I bought said on the writeup that it is encore encore Windows 7, Vista, XP, windows me.

The game will be here soon, it has shipped, will I have any troubles loading and playing the game, thank you in advance.

no just use the nvidia settings for a decent pic.
Also your gona find that the screen resolution of this old game is a bit lacking.
I use Ahnenerbe's wide screen Gui.

Ge Force GT 635 video memory 1 GB

What setting do you suggest?

I run Windows 7 64bit with an nvidia card as well. The game runs perfectly so you shouldnt have any problems running it.

Go to the SH4 Wolves of the Pacific forum and take a look at the stickied thread about tweaks for Nvidia cards. Lots of good suggestions there for getting the best results with settings that work for both SH3 and SH4.

Also be sure to read the stickied thread a few lines above yours with tips and tricks for installing SH3 on OS other than XP. THEBERBSTER's site is a great resource as well, especially if you develop an urge to use the Living Silent Hunter III megamod.
