SHV Crew icons

HI, I am new at SHV. The program loaded from a DVD, ver. 1.2. Patches are up to date according to UBI Soft. The problem I am having is that in the first mission Total Germany I cannot read any messages sent to me and there are no icons of the crew members that I should be able to communicate with. I have to find a crew member below deck and click on him. This brings up a few things such as how's your wife and never mind.PC specs are Lenovo Thinkcentre M71E DT PC, MAR Windows 7 Professional, Intel HD Graphic 2000. If anyone can tell me how to correct this I can begin to hunt the British merchant fleet. Thanks.

unfortunately SH5 out of the box with patches...is still pretty unplayable. You are going to need some MODs (modifications). Fortunately, you have come to the right place! :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:

I almost think this forum should have a "New unmodded SH5 players start here" thread Stickyed to the top of the Forum. This happens alot to people just getting started with this game......at least you found your way here.

Anyway...start looking around here and the SH5 MODs forum to get a better idea of what you need to make SH5 playable. It's a process.
