Type IXC tower upgrade

I just started my 4th patrol. I upgraded my tower to type 3. I'm on my way south of Cuba, when I realize my new tower has an awesome AA arrangement, but no deck gun. Can this tower be equipped with one? Or not?

I think so....

Check the Basic.cfg

Search for "Coning_Type" and then scroll down to the tower you have.

Under the "Coning_Type" header it will list availability, and the type of any deck/AA that it mounts automatically.

Look for "M01"


And also look at the boats .eqp file, it will have an entry for "M01", in stock there is a point where they remove it.
Stock should have 2 entries, one for the deck gun and the second one should say something like "Null".

If it is before the date for the "null" entry, then yes it can be equipped, if it is after the date for the "null" entry, then no, it can't be equipped.

Just change the "LinkName=" from "null" to what ever is listed on the first entry, and now you can have one for the entire game. :up:

Other mods should be similar.
