Avast Thar! ...ye lubbers ye! :03: I am still getting to grips with TWoS mates. It is a really great mod and I must say that I fully agree with the concept of getting away from "Mod Soup Mix" if you can! HOWEVER, whilst I can fully appreciate the taste of the "realists" amongst us, not all of us here are of this "bent" .. as it were! There are those amongst us who just want to get out there and "kick some ass!"

(I remember playing SH4 sometime ago now, with a sub one couldn't sink and "heat seeking" torpedo's! I never enjoyed a game more! in my life! (lol) :subsim:

Now, I like a bit of both. It is nice to 'kick some ass''' from time to time.. but having a bit of realism in the mix is also fine for me here. I am working my way up to full realism, which I can see will be quite challenging!

At this time I am seeking to get to grips with a decent set of mods for TWos, although I am aware of the games versatility! THEBREBSTER has been very good and patient with me here, but I have found that some of the mods that as not supposed to clash in the game ..in fact DO SO! :(:(:( SO! I post a list of mods that I am about to install to a totally fresh SH5 install, to ask for your input here ..if you will be so kind fellas! :salute::salute:

1.the wolves of steel 1.06
2.the wolves of steel update **
3.the wolves of steel real navigation
4.the wolves of steel encrypted bdu orders
5.the wolves of steel wind & smoke addon
6.the wolves of steel resolution patches

I have just one question. I have all the ingredients for a good soup just don't know what may go with what. Just started into SH 5 and have The Wolves of Steel 1.06 up and running, REAL NICE. I like it but I'd like to try others.
SH 3/4 I have a few different ones running. SH3; GWX, R.U.B., LSH3-2015, SH4; Clayps, RFB, OM & PE4 ext.
I've tried a second install with SH 5 and U-play won't except it. Before sec. install I renamed the first , deleted Sh 5 install through the computers un-install to re-install SH 5 and nothing.
My question is, Can multi sh 5 installations be done?
And if so, How? (2 questions)

Uplay German voices has been added in Update 7
AutoTarg ? where did you dig that up from?

I thought "Churches" was compatible ?? but I can do without it mate :03: "Criticalhits" rather appeals to me tho. If you read the info, it is supposed to cause various kinds of damage, as in real life.

So, ..I don't want to spoil this brand new install shipmates .. so what mods do I leave out then guys??? :hmmm::hmmm:

You are showing TWOS installation mods 1 to 8
Mods 1 and 2 are compulsory.
Mods 3 to 5 are optional.
Mods 6 to 8 only select 1 if your resolution is not 16.9
Mods 9 to 17 are authorized compatible ones by vdr1981 and are optional.
Of these additional mods 10 and 11 are a choice of 1 or the other.
Of these additional mods 16 and 17 are a choice of 1 or the other depending whether you have Wind and Smoke mod added.

In your previous picture.
FX update should not be used as it is already in TWOS.
German voices is included in update 10
Campaign Verifier tester you only need enabled when moving Campaigns like Total Germany to Happy Times etc.
Campaign Start VIIB replaces early VIIA campaign boat. requires a new career start.

I'm really sorry because of your disability and it was not my intention to offend you in any way...What I was trying to say is that by posting incoherent questions, you are wasting yours and also spare time of people who are trying to help you for several days.
You are certainly right about one thing, many people from Subsim (including me) have invested hundreds of their own spare hours for your enjoyment and if you don't appreciate or don't want to use that, I really couldn't care less...

Wow mate, try and keep your cool.
I have tremendous respect for vdr1981 (Vecko) and others who do a tremendous amount of free work to allow us all to benefit a better gaming experience.
Their Achilles heal: is their thought processes are way above us minions and when it comes down to what is often can be very basic, or in their eyes stupid questions they do not realize that these questions still need to be answered so the person asking it can move on.
For an example, a yes or no answer may not be what you are looking for.
At my lower level where my knowledge is less experienced, I will try where possible always to give some sort of explanation.
If my information is incorrect :oops: I know that Vecko will pick me up on it and give the correct information and with it a more detailed answer.
The post is there for all to see with the correct detailed information.
I have been playing SH5 in some sort of form for nearly 5 years, many of those years with TWOS.
SH5 modded with TWOS is now at the forefront of SH gaming thanks to vdr1981 (Vecko).

OK VDR, why can't you get on with me like anyone else? :D I haven't done YOU any harm! Why do you have to be so "undiplomatic" and sarcastic in your posts to me? Your attitude to me in your first post here set me off! You have attacked me once before, but II let it go! :):)

I have a good relationship with THE BREWSTER, and everyone else here in so far as I am aware! I am playing your bloody mod for heaven sake! It is brilliant! I got a few issues with it ..but I am sure they can be sorted out!

OK I am not a great technical minded guy! Out here in the real world I have started TWO quite successful businesses FROM SCTATCH, so I must have some brains somewhere! :hmmm: Am I to be blamed for being ignorant of something that I have no experience whatever of???? Stop and think a little bit, before shooting your mouth off mate!

I am quite prepared to burry the hatchet here! :D:D:D

p.s. I an very good at artwork as I think my banner bears out! I can make good MOVING FLAGS! (There is no one else up here who can do this kind of work!) I can paint you a great picture, but I have to take my car to the garage for minor repairs! :har:

Here is my current mod order guys! Everything is OK ...other than I am not hitting any ships with my torpedo's?? (The ships were moving quite fast though).

I am following the protocol as far as I am aware.. I am on the lowest play level ..so none of the complicated torpedo settings are involved. Just "point and press" to suite my level at this time! :haha::haha:

I use the torpedo solution line on the TAI map and line up the 1,2,3 circles (you have to turn that on in OFEV if I remember rightly).

I don't know if it's possible to have that turned on as a preset default somehow since I don't have enough time to be good at SH5 but I do really enjoy the experience of a play session, with it being simple and all. Some say TWOS mod is only for hardcore players, but with the right options it can be very simple to play.

Mods 10 and 11 only choose one of them, not both.
Mod 15 remove as you are using W & S mod with mod 16
Mod 16 is correct for mod 3 not mod 15.

When TDW's Option File Editor Viewer application is installed it is important to open the XO Tab to make sure that Manual Targeting is Not Enabled.
Settings in the NAV and TAI map Tabs can be customized so you see these settings each time your game is loaded.
The button on the and the button on the TAI map in game will allow you to make further changes just for the gaming session you are in.
Game Play Setting can be changed to suit your game play when in the bunker before making the required manual game save prior to starting the next mission.

Locking the target.
Unlocking the target
Fire the torpedo.
Works whether 3 circles is used or not as Auto TDC adjusts the gyro angles automatically.

Ahoy there skipper! I want the easy way for a very good reason my friend ..you may not understand right now ..but with time you may. :D

For personal reasons, I want to "get away" from real life when I play this game ..not simulate it! For a while anyway! :03:

Hi CD
Tube doors must be opened with the switches in the up position ready to fire.

Set Torpedo Depths for both Targets 2 and 1.
Target 2 Torpedo speed Fast.
Target 1 Torpedo speed Fast,

Check Torpedo 2 is Fast on Target 2.
Lock Target 2 with the Space Bar.
Unlock the Target.
Press the Fire Button Torpedo 2 on Target 2.

Check Torpedo 1 is on Fast on Target 1.
Check the TAI map as how far Torpedo 2 is to Target 2
Lock Target 1 with the Space Bar.
Unlock the Target.
Press the Fire Button Torpedo 1 on Target 1.

The idea is to try and create simultaneous hits.

If the Tube Door switches are not open (Up position) when you press the Fire Button you will miss the target which seems to be what has happened in your picture?

I am now at see with a merchant ship target. First thing is it is firing at me!!!! thought these were "Happy Times"?? How the heck does one AIM the perishing deck-gun here?? In SH4 I am sure the hands fire the gun on their own by default! This doesn't happen here on SH5! They just hang on to the gun and get soaked!!! :hulk::hulk:
