I just made a MultiPlayer map in SH3 GWX and had a random air groups spawn as well as a non random plane.

I have just played it with a friend and we could both see the non random plane but only I could see the random group of planes, even though my friend died at their hands he could not see them.

Any idea why?

Is it possible he is a blind deaf mute?

LOL :)

Hopefully my response to your PM will shed some light on the issue.

Nope, dont think so. I have replied. PDS we are running identical setups. Normal games run fine just those with random units being generated have this odd effect.

Sometimes.

After much messing around without changing anything my mate could see the random units, tonight in a new map. No.

Yes, certainly odd and something I've never come across or heard of until now.

In your second PM you state your friend hasn't set up his router.....my understanding is the router only has control over connectivity and access.

If the game is loading and playable for a period of time prior to a crash that would suggest both your installations are identical at startup but later on when the game calls upon further information one of you don't have what is being called for.

I'd suggest trying a basic mission from stock and if all goes well, add a unit at a time.

Slow and time consuming I know but the only way to identify what is causing the mission to crash.

That is what is odd, we were taking it slow and adding a unit at a time when he first could noticed he could not see the random unit. So I added a non random unit and he could see that but not the random ones.

Last night I played online with two others and it worked fine with them so it seems to be a problem with BD setup somehow. Really strange one to fathom out though.
