Sonar Ping ?

Hi all

Just moved up to playing real Navigation, however when I attempt to get the range via sonar 'ping' command is 'greyed out'...trying to get my head around the 4 bearings method with the aid of the tutorials but still working on that so would like to have the sonar range feature in the meantime....

I believe the germans got active sonar late in 1942. So if you are playing before that you simply have to make due without it.
