Simpson is serving a 33 year sentence for multiple charges of Kidnapping and Armed Robbery and various other felony charges.

in 2013, Simpson received parole for two kidnapping and two armed robbery charges, but still remains in prison on four weapon charges and two ADW charges.

Eligible for parole is no guarantee that parole will be granted. It may have been easier to get the 2013 parole as the board knew he would stay in prison for at least four more years.

If he gets parole on all the charges, he can start collecting his NFL pension which is now worth a few million. BTW, his pension can't be garnished to pay what he owes from the wrongful death civil suit so the cash is all his.

Waddya think?

Think the Juice needs a little more time in the Jug?

I think that nine years is a bit early for release on a 33 year multiple felony sentence. I think he should do half -- 16-17 years before parole. Based on his comments at the 2013 hearing, I am not sure the Simpson truly believes that what he did was wrong.

With his temper and lack of judgement, I feel that he can still be a threat. Also, considering his pension, he won't suffer the usual disadvantages of other felons on parole. A parole for Simpson means that he starts living the easy life. I think a few more years is appropriate before he is allowed to have all the advantages of being a millionaire.

Yep, he should serve at least 10 more years, he'll be about 78 then and he'll not have much time left to enjoy his pension, that's if he can last out that long. :yep:

I agree he should serve at least half of his sentence before he is considered for early release.

I also agree, at least half of the sentence should be served.

Yeah, he definitely needs to sit on the bench for a bit longer, I doubt his prison conditions are exactly uncomfortable anyway.

Half the sentence should be the minimum....tis here in the UK and many (myself included) believe it to be extremely lenient.

The former American football star and actor OJ Simpson has been released on parole after nine years in a Nevada jail.
He had been serving time for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and 10 other charges over a 2007 confrontation at a Las Vegas hotel.
Simpson was approved for early parole release at a board hearing in July.
