oh hey there,
they released silent hunter 4+5 in the meantime :haha:. I as well, however, still prefer 3 over the rest, though!

There's Living Silent Hunter 2015 available for 3 which is quite a decent and easy to install mod which doesn't require any extra mods on top of it (check out 'THEBERBSTER' signature). Easy choice if you wanna get back into the groove of SH, mod installing etc..

Furthermore, there's also a mod called WAC5.0 currently in the making which is rumored to reach the glory of GWX3.0!
