SH5: Rebooted - how to get back into it proper

Haven't been at SH5 since 2014 and don't know where to start as far as mods and CD-ROM vs Steam compatibility. I do want to go MP Coop and have the latest graphics, sounds and accuracy feature upgrades. Is there an all in one mod or a suggested list with proper install ordering?

Think I remember you being a warm and helpful person who assisted me back in 2014.

I did see this same post in the other thread for the guy also getting back into it. Not to be disrespectful or anything, but this forum's plethora is its own worse enemy. Like where does one start, how does one know what is critical and what is not, what mods are must haves and which are not.

It has a lot of in formation that is somewhat contradictory.

Like it recommends the CD version but then links how to get the steam version going?

How does one tell which he has? I fire up either Steam or Uplay and it shows I have two copies of Sh5 Gold edition. Can't tell which is which.

Then links Wolves of Steel MEGA mod (All in one, that's all I'll need, so start from scratch?)

Just looking for a clear set of instructions on how to get the most benefit with the least hassle. Assume the noob (or rebooted) guy could have Steam or Uplay or OEM boxed version. Maybe even provide links to get the preferred and explain why.

Again, my goal is to play online in coop with a couple of buddies. So I need a list of mods in proper install order that provides the best combination of Realsim, graphics, sound and yet playable for the non-expert. Is the Mega mod all I need? Is what I have currently installed fine?

The FAQ's are long but they include most of the questions that have made the number of post you mention reduce so are well worth a look.
Treat the list is as a menu and you can pick out the bits that will be of interest to you at the current time.
Posts are still being made where the answer is in the FAQ's.
There is no harm in making a post on the TWOS thread if you need a question answered.
TWOS colleagues are always very helpful.
Alternatively if you are unsure about this just send me a PM.

Would you plz msg me and address the questions succinctly as you can to the install setup questions I posted ? The problem isnt the wealth of knowledge, rather it is sifting the data without a knowing eye. Easy for one who has been there as data is incrementally added, dizzying for one hit will the tsunami.
