Hello guys!
an old ex SH3 player here, been playing SH5 off and on over the last couple of years, The Berbster was trying to help me with mods last time i played but it was very unstable so i gave up. I decided to try again a few days ago and installed the mega mod "wolves of steel" and fantastic it is too!!!
Im doing great at the moment, learned how to manual tdc etc etc but the one thing im missing is the speed conversion charts, ie the charts that tell you the targets speed over a given distance. ive looked everywhere and without them its pointless even trying to hit anything. anyone any ideas how to get them please? sorry if its been asked before too ;)

Hi Mc
Use the short cut E key.
Use your mouse to scroll down the lists and you will find it.

Mc
There is a known SH5 bug regarding DD's constantly following.
Unlikely however if both are doing the same thing, it is usually only for 1 to constantly follow you.
Use the ESC Key and reload your last game save will stop the bug.
If you then get the same thing happening again it will be normal game play and not a bug.

all sorted now, thanks mate!
i have another question.
when u spot a smoke on the horizon i tend to head straight for it until i get close enough to figure out which way its heading. i then seem to have to guess an intercept course and always end up too far away or at a horrible angle to successfully make a hit. any tutorials available on how to do this? im running full realism with wolves of steel. all the vids ive looked at on youtube seem to be in good positions already and i cant find one that actually shows you how to intercept.

Hi Mc
See if you can get a range from your WO.
He is not always accurate especially at night but it will give you something to plot with.
It will not hurt to over estimate a single targets speed of 10-12 knots as you do not want to be spotted, and you need to remain on the attack side.
You can use the speed chart to set up an estimated intercept course with this information.
If you leave enough time you can get another range from the WO and adjust accordingly.
You will need to be surfaced and not at decks awash to use him.
Switching between the UZO x7 and using the height of the attack scope x 6 will also help you see how the target is sitting on the horizon can help you to make a visual judgement also.

again many thanks Peter! ill see what happens on my next attack.....im playing at the moment and come accross something i think unusual.
i didnt bother to install the enigma part of the mod, i really cant be bothered with all that as its time consuming. however i receive a message from BDU and its encrypted.....i do have the option to use the enigma as the icon is present on my officer. can i ignore the message or am i going to have to learn to use the enigma?
whats confusing me is that i left that part of the mod out...

Hi Mc
You need the Enigma mod enabled to decrypt any messages.
The icon opens the Enigma machine for decryption.
The only important messages IMO are your patrol area ones.
You see your first primary one in the bunker.
The 2 secondary ones appear after the previous one has been completed.
If you use pause your game and then use your Windows key.
This is for Total Germany:
Go to:
Mods folder
TWOS update No??
data
Campaigns
CampaignProjects
Missions
Total_Germany_M
There is only 1 TSR file and the details are in there
https://s28.postimg.org/unmnsqkkd/BDU_messages.jpg
This information would be sent by the BDU encrypted.
