There’s a lot to be said about this series. I recently watched season 1 on dvd. It’s about the Culper Ring, George Washington’s spies during the revoltionary war. I really liked it. Don’t expect big battles.
The Culper Ring used numbers for places and persons. Every member had a code book. Cyphers mentioned are:
Rossignol, Trithemius and Dumas

I enjoy this one also. Something about the audio makes it a bit hard to understand what is said by particular characters at times though. Maybe it's the attempted accents, I'm not sure. Mostly to do with the main character.
