His legend is other-worldly and now, in his 95th year, that’s where John Glenn has gone.

That's sad... he was a genuinely nice man.

Rats, I was just reading earlier today that he was still in the hospital.

He was the last of the Original Seven.

Rats, I was just reading earlier today that he was still in the hospital.
I saw that yesterday, but it still didn't prepare me for seeing the news pop up as I was getting ready to leave the office. Odd feeling looking up at our Mercury capsule on the way home.

:salute: Thank you, sir.

Let nobody ever deny he led a full and meaningful life.

RIP Sir

He was also the oldest of the Original Seven when selected, but ended up out living the rest of them.

If research is correct, he was, unfortunately, the only one of the Original Seven who was able to keep his flight suit zipped and remained faithful to his wife Annie. Might not mean much to some, but to me, that's something more he can be proud of.

Space travel appears safe and routine today. The loss of Gus Grissom, Ed White and Pilot Roger B. Chaffee on January 27, 1967 and later, the loss of the Challenger and Columbia and the losses of Cosmonauts is space served as a reminder of how dangerous space travel really is.

John Glenn was truly a pioneer having been the first American to orbit the Earth. He was a distinguished fighter pilot,in both World War II and Korea, with five Distinguished Flying Crosses and eighteen clusters.

Rest in Peace John.
