Hi all,
I have tried to find questions/answers on the forums,regarding installing a fresh disc copy of the above game,I have just bought this game and after receiving it through the post,I realised it was a used copy,now when I install it,I notice the key code is not being asked for,maybe this is why when I try to play the game an error protection box appears,can anyone give me advice on how to unblock this game.

I only own the steam version so I rly can't give you first hand experience here but according to what I've read, having to deal with cd-keys means that you own a copy with the so called 'starforce' copy protection which sadly only works with windows xp! Because of that you are supposed to update the game after its installation with the 1.4b patch!

Then get the no-cd crack from here:

Now it should be possible to run the game according to what I read..

Also, read the How to install SH3 on anything later than Win XP forum here on subsim.

There is specific procedure, consisting of patch installation during game installation, instead of after.

You have to follow it exactly step by step, it will save you a lot of troubleshooting.
