Hey I'm new here

I've never played a sub sim before, but I'm a long time flight sim enthusiast, and I enjoy using gadgets and mathematics to solve problems. I was farting around on YouTube one night and saw a few videos of Silent Hunter 5 modded with the Wolves of Steel. I immediately decided that I needed this on my machine as soon as possible, so I bought the game, downloaded the necessary files for modding it, and got everything set up. I jumped in both feet first, I've never played a sub sim before, and this was my initiation. It was a little rough lol, with full realism. I did manage to sink some ships, and miss a few more. Unfortunately, I'll be taking quite a break from simming, as my first kid was born a week and a half ago. Just decided to make this post so I don't lose my forum account, because lurking here has been helpful.
