how far away can the "measure keel depth" ping be heard?

I want to check the keel depth but there are already destroyers nearby. How far away can the destroyers hear this ping sound?

Can someone give me a rough esstimate of kilometers? Is 10km too close? Or 30km? I have no idea.

I wish I knew, I was testing that my self before my Sh4 took a poop, but for now I know they will pick it up at 10km haven't tested any more till I can get my game up and running. I hope the guys here can help. Best of luck mate

A destroyer can hear your ping from 5 to 10 km at least, depending on the ship's size.
