Patrol east china sea TICK
Patrol Luzon strait!!!
Been here for a week almost ... 4 kills to total mission, no torps, no gunnery ammo ... patrolling for days and night within 100 nm of YELLOW STAR with Binoculars ...
have to keep running away and hiding aS no ammo to defend self
keep telling hq I have no torps and my position in hope of getting a radio message to go home

PLEASE tell me how to COMPLETE mission so I can go home get my medals and a new sub

Every time I use escape to exit it tells me ... mission incomplete.

HOW DO I GET THAT STAR TO GO FROM ORANGE TO GREY and complete my mission?

Just go back to home port and dont worry about it. You dont have to complete objectives to end the patrol. As long as you have sunk ships command will be happy. But with no ammo, you wont be doing much of that!

Some of those Patrol areas are quite a bit smaller than 100nm, dependent upon the mod. Some are continuous time and must be completed in-whole, some will stop when you leave and start-up from there when you re-enter the patrol area. Nice mods tell you in the briefing how big of an area to patrol. Even nicer mods draw the circle on the map for you and tell how big of a circle it is. If the mission briefing doesn't tell me how big of a circle the patrol zone is, I'll usually hang rather close to it, unless something comes along, of course, ~and~ I have torpedoes... Else I go home. I get by that half tank marker, low on fuel, I go home.

In TMO 2.5 without RSRDC you need to get within 18.5 NM to meet the objective, that and satisfy any other objective (sink shipping and/or minimum time. :Kaleun_Salute:
