i am not sure the healing is going so well or how it is going to well - given the incidents coming in on social media of threats of violences against muslims, african americans, mexicans, asians, and also against trump voters too - this is looks to spiral out of control on all sides , though the attacking of women seems to be quite one sided at the moment. I am pretty sure the constitution would not be given approval of any of this

Swastikas and cars driving around with Kill Kill Kill written on them, hardly looks like peace is on the way. I dont think Trump would actually want for any of this to be happening, but now it is.
If we could cut off the funding from outside agitators (Soros), the demonstrations would stop fairly rapidly.

Guess you are complacent with Russia interfering with the election, comrade?
Uh huh, and if Clinton had won I'm absolutely positive that there would have been no comment from the other side.
Even so, violent protests are uncalled for, but yeah, it's gonna happen. It'll probably die down eventually.

Trump will break many of his promises made during campaign, and necessarily many who voted for him will - once again - be left desillusionised. I'm quite certain of that. This guy cooks his tea or coffee with normal water, too.
Lets wait until late summer next year, and then we will or should at least be able to see where the journey is going.
Its possible even that he gets called as witness to court while being in the oval office, in some of the over 70 criminal investiogations currently running, investigating his businesses of the past. I think 76 such investigations currently run, or not?

And an interesting statistic I just found. There is the cliché here in Europe, but in America as well, that so-called "rightwing populists" and outsiders from the establishment get elected only by the unedcuated, the dumb and the poor.
Statistics show that of the group of white male voters with no higher education, indeed 3 in 4 of those who went voting, indeed voted for Trump. But, here is the rub: of those (in total) who voted for Trump, 43% still had a university degree. For Clinton, this mark is at 53%.
So while the Democratic candidate has a greater share of her voters with a university degree, the difference is not as if one could say only the dumb and uneducated vote Trump. 53%, 43% - thats not a lightyear apart.
Its the same with "rightwing" populists in Europe, fans of Orban, LePen, Wilders, the German AfD party. The voters are far more diverse and already reach deep into the educated, burgeois middle class of average and even higher incomes.
The cliché is not that much true like socialists, the established parties, the politically correct exemplary good subjects do claim. The elites imply that the elite of society only votes for them. Which is a quite elitist illusion. :D Its just that these elites are so disconnected from reality and so complacent with themselves that they cannot even imagine anymore that one could not like and love them - often to be seen on EU levels. The love and admiration of the people - is taken for granted by these elitist people.

Beside religious zealots and creationists entering the administration I'm most concerned about Trump's family. Two sons and one daughter (ignoring the forgotten daughter...) lead his Trump business empire: properties, hotels, golf ressorts. They maintain business contacts and hold stock for ovber 500 international companies, many in countries with whom relations between them and the US are - uneasy. There is a real risk of nepotism and family corruption here.
And watch out for his daughter, she may the be real smarthead here, avoiding so far to blow the provoking tunes her father plays on his horn and so offers a smaller profile to attack, but having his trust and leading the heart of the Trumpire. I think she is one of those who build dominance and key influence silently, behind the stage curtains. His sons do not impress me so far, but his daughter rings my alarm bells.
As far as anti-abortionists go: this is an issue Amercians have to come to terms with, its of internal relevanc eonly and has no international relevance.
Creatonists raping the public educations ystem - this one affects the education fundament, university, the achademic superiority of the American society in the world and one of the key pillars of American dominance. Its a very bad idea to have tuch nutheads havign a say in education, since it creates fallout on scientific research as well. And this could backfire dearly on America'S power. It could alos breed future generations of business and leaders thinking in these "esoteric" terms, and then could produce fallout for all world there is as well. So red light blinking on this.

Ok. I think you are over reacting. I don't know how old you are but I remember when JFK was elected. Politicians say a lot of crap to get elected. That's the way it works.
I think you should take a deep breath. None of this stuff has happened yet and probably won't. It's Nov 11. Trump's inauguration is Jan 20 2017. Don't you think it would be better to wait and see what actually happens instead of listing all the things people think might happen. Better for your well being. :D

What makes you think that is anything but a staged picture designed to demonize the political opposition? Kill, kill kill indeed. You're being fed a line of propaganda and you don't realize it.
We have about 350 million citizens over here. If you look hard enough you can find somebody to fit just about any stereotype, and if not it's easy enough to invent them as your article mentions, but that doesn't make them the norm and you'd know that if you were here to see the reality for yourself.
Please remember that the Democrats have repeatedly hired paid protesters to try and disrupt political rallies. Also please remember that the only actual violence we're seeing over here is the mass rioting and vandalism being conducted by the left.
I'm inclined to agree with U Crank, Trump himself I don't think will be as bad as many think, Pence...is a bit more concerning, but hopefully there will be enough pushback to stop him from going too all out against the LBTGQ community. This is the point where we really have to hope and pray in the cheques and balances system, so that no laws or edicts are passed that end up physically harming sections of America.
My concern is the subsection of Trumps supporters, those who are the real 'Deplorables' who will be encouraged by this, and who will make certain peoples lives hell for the coming weeks, and maybe months.

I googled "riots in wake of election" and got dozens of hits on Hillary supporters burning things and causing trouble in protest. Yes, there are stupid people who do stupid things, and they are not limited by race, creed, color or political affiliation.

if you don't think Trump would want this, then why do you keep blaming him? What's done is done, and what comes next remains to be seen. We can wait and keep a close eye on things, or we can make useless predictions and vent our own hate. That choice is up to each of us.

You dont want to tell me that you really are naive enough to assume just because there is a law banning criminal behaviour, there is no criminal behaviour anmyore?
These people are FAMILY. They talk together, they eat together, they share holidays together and so on. Son number 1 may suggest an issue he has with his directoring duties, and president Trump makes a mental note of it, and so new legislation may get started. You cannot prevent this by filling the date into a form and poutting an official stamp on it and then think this prevents it. It doesn't.
Or his daughter, said to have good chances to get an influential job as press secretary of the WH, or however they call the job. Family members sharing jobs in politicis or in business while you are president - that is always a very critical issue, and easily leads to monarchy-like dynasties, and nepotism. Of course - nobody will admit he pulled the cat'S tail. At best he will admit that maybe he just held it tight. If the cat had not put the tail in his hand all by itself...
Laws do not change that. There are so many ways to suggest things without needing to suggest them. And to command for things without ever giving an actual order. A raise of the eyebrow. A casual glance with the eyes. A long delay before answering. And the others knows what to do, even if it never gets spoken out.

So if the presdient gets told by family that the empire he handed them over suffers profits not made and then informally but effectively adjusts his policy so that his former empire whith which he formally is no longer connected must not "suffer" - that now is just "family advise", eh?
Not to mention to do his former empire favours regarding said business empires' stock holdings and business ties with countries the Us would or should not get linked with? As I said: over 500 of such names? Just "family advise" again, I assume?
Nepotism that would be, plain and simple.
Bureaucrats never deal with reality. Only with their model of it. Thats why their rules so often do not connect to real life. And that is especially true for politics. Reality does not care for ideas and ideals and ideologies. Reality is, and it is indecent enough to not ask for permission to be that.

I don't think that anyone is foolish enough to believe that it doesn't happen. The law was put in place to prevent any 'official' Nepotism. It happens all the time , everywhere and from the president down to the dog catcher. Don't worry about the Trumps. They do just fine.:D

I say to our cousins around the world, "Deal with it! and mind your own knitting.:salute:"
They will eventually, the initial shock and outrage will die down, there'll be another flare-up around inauguration but this isn't going to be a protest and riots for four years, it'll be flare ups as situations arise. Depends on what stupid things Trump might say to insult sections of society, or react inappropriately to certain events.

Trump has two years (actually less than that) to demonstrate he can handle the job. Then we have the midterm elections for congress and we have a lot of examples of how midterms can not go the way of the president.
The citizens are often an impatient group. Just one more of our checks and balances. All in all, I think we have a pretty good government structure warts and imperfect humans and all.
