Questions concerning the two big Mega Mods

Trying to get back to playing SH5 after giving up on it some years ago due to frustrating bugs that rendered it unplayable for me. I love good mods and both Sobers list and TWoS interest me but couple concerns / questions.

1) I know Real Navigation is heavily promoted and maybe I'm just not finding a tutorial simplified enough for me to understand how to use it. Is there a RN book for dummies (or video if you will). I've watched the first few that popped up on youtube but I'm just not getting it. I'd like to be as immersed as possible but I'll come right out and say, I'm not the brightest bulb so RN may just not be for me.

2) German Voices as a requirement. As much as I love the german language (spent most of my youth in Bindlach and Grafenwoehr) I'd rather my crew speak english. Will I experience CTDs (or more frequent CTDs) if I use TWoS or Sobers list without the use of German voices?

I thought I had more than that but that is all for now.

Voices will not cause ctd's in either language.
I have a number of YouTube video series in my tutorils by TheNorsecast aka Shaefer, Potus and THE WAR OFFICE (COMBAT MISSION)
Any of these are good tutorials in their own way how to plot targets and use real navigation.

Thank you both. I think I'm starting to figure it out.

Having an odd error display on every game load. "The internet connection experiences problems and the current game session was saved. Please wait until internet connection is restored...." I've been hitting ESC to clear it but any ideas how I can stop it from happening?
