On 19 March 1943, after damaging the Greek freighter Carras, a B-17 Flying Fortress (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_B-17_Flying_Fortress) bomber from No. 220 Squadron RAF (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._220_Squadron_RAF) hit the boat with four depth charges, causing sufficient damage as to force her to return to France. Only U 384 was lost; oddly in the same general area as U-666, later, west of Ireland; both to air attacks.. Sunk at 1745hrs on 19 March 1943 in the North Atlantic west of Ireland, in position 54.18N, 26.15W, by depth charges from a British Fortress (http://uboat.net/allies/aircraft/b17.htm) aircraft (206 Sqn RAF/B). 47 dead (all hands lost).

You can`t hunt together with U 666 and except a "good luck". Satan has its own finger there :ping:
