Changing the Nation of a Uboat?

Hello People,:arrgh!:

I like to play the american "Quick Missions" in SH4.

Now I wanted to ask, if it is somehow possible to make custom , downloaded subs - which have been made availbe for the german quick missions - available for the pacific quick missions. Is this somehow possible?
I am not into modding at all, so I hope there is a way to simply drag some files or change some files.

First, thank you very much.

No I have not installed or looked into operation monsun. I have heard from the mod though. But why should I look into it?

I have some custom made, downloaded subs. Like for example the TITAN or the Typhoon sub. FOR EXAMPLE. The thing is just, that in the quick-missions tab, the subs only appear on the german side and not for the american quick missions. is this somehow possible to change it?

I don't think anyone even considered what you're asking. You can look in the files to see if there is something to change. Sorry, I can't help further.

Well after looking into it for a couple of days, there doesn't seem to be a real easy way to do it. Several files need their contents changed. I tried adding the IX D2 to the US side and ended up with no crew, torpedoes, or conning tower.

I did some text modding and converted IXD2 uboat to US side with Us crew and german weapons & equipment. Not tested extensively but it seems to work with stock 1.5 and TMO and Game Fixes only mods (single missions & campaigns)

I merged & edited some configuration files (mainly .upc files with Notepad)

Known problems: 20mm AA guns not working but 37mm at least appears...
