A.R.I., the Italian Radio Amateur Association, is sponsoring an event to focus "attention on the importance of the scientific research in general and specifically on cryptography, as drivers of most of the crucial events at the end of World War II, even considering their impact both on history and on the present world’s life."
The main goal of the Enigma Event is to promote as much radioamateur’s activity as possible all over the world, celebrating the history of the Enigma cipher machine and its crucial role in the outcome of World War II, and spreading the knowledge of those key people who contributed to its decryption.
The organizers encourage the participation of the maximum number of active radioamateur stations in the world, and promote the organization of conferences, seminars and cultural activities to achieve the objectives of the event.More event information is available here:

I would have posted in the Classic Subsims sub-forum if that were the case.

Wondering, since I am not a radio operator but do have the capability to use an Enigma cipher. Could I send you a brief message with key for you to broadcast, it would be but a few characters in length such as 'greetings (name) and (map location)"

I believe all of the event communications are two-way (between two stations), so I couldn't "broadcast" (to no one in particular). The event rules are not exactly clear about what the non-Actuator stations are supposed or allowed to transmit. Usually, for an event like this, stations would exchange a signal report and one other piece of information such as a location or serial number.
While I do have equipment for the amateur radio bands indicated in the rules, I don't usually keep a station set up on a permanent basis due to lack of space and the high frequency of lightning strikes where I live. I'm also in the U.S., so if propagation is poor on 1 October, I may not be able to establish contact with any of the Actuator stations since they are all in Italy. A European amateur station would have a much better chance of contact with the Actuator stations regardless of propagation conditions.
Your signature suggests that you are perhaps in the U.K. If that is the case, we might be able to locate a U.K. individual or club amateur station that would be willing to register on the event web site and make an effort to communicate with one of the Actuator stations on 1 October using your message (with you present, hopefully). No guarantees, but I can make inquiries.

No Im not from U.K., just a big fan of Douglas Adams book. I'm on DelMarVa eastern shore. Only enigma traffic I get is when I correspond with Bruce of EWCG from time to time and keep up on his news letters. One of these days I'll have to get off my hind end and get my radio operators ticket.
