Is it possible to mod the scale legend which appears in the bottom left corner of the TAI map to add a "zero" tick mark and "thirds" tick marks? I've tested it and it looks as though the zero line is in the same location all all zoom levels so this is a true fixed position.

With the addition of thirds marks it would allow you to quickly draw out circles of EXACTLY 100m, 200m 300m when fully zoomed in, rather than trying to catch the point where the displayed radius flicks between 50m and 100m say, if you were trying to do an exact 100m circle. If the thirds ticks were there then you should also be able to better visually judge where, for example, 25m 75, 125m etc would be, rather than having to guess, since the tools only display to the nearest 50m. The process I have in my mind is to use these ticks to draw exact circles on the legend, then move them to where I want to make plot points etc.

I also use one of the tool helper mods with a circular grid where each grid line is approx 4m when fully zoomed in, so in combination with an exact known 100m mark on the scale legend would make +/- adjustments pretty damn accurate. I know you probably don't need this level of accuracy in reality, but even just not having to mess about catching the 50/100m tipping point on the display would be a bonus.

The first pic below shows what I have in mind. Can this be modded into the game? The main chart view does have these thirds tick marks on its scale legend, but you can see from the second pic below the scale accuracy seems to be all over the place on the chart view for some reason, so it is pretty much useless. I don't know if this has anything to do with my screen rez however, I use 2560x1440. Is this the same for anyone else?

Failing this, would it be possible to fix the chart view scale, since I imagine this might be a bitmap somewhere, if this is a universal problem?

This is with the latest TWoS mod pack btw.

Nav Map scale misalignment is known glitch which I wasn't able to fix yet...To be honest , I wasn't even trying very hard to solve this because it's really a minor issue IMO and map scale it self is also rarely used feature...Your map tools will provide you all necessary functionality anyway...

No worries dude, was just looking for a way to avoid having to have to make tiny mouse movements when trying to get bang on 100, 200, 300m etc, when if I could use the marks on the scale I could instantly set it to a 100% accurate distance in seconds. Would have been much more sensible if they'd programmed the tools to show changes in say 5m rather than 50, then we wouldn't have to make these guesses. I can't imagine real u-boat navigators just went "nearest 50m, That'll do" when plotting dead reckoning courses or intercept courses etc :)
