After literally years of playing TMO.25 plus RSRDC and assorted add-ons, I decided to try TMO without RSRDC. After completing 3 successful patrols in the GAR class USS Grayling (SS-209) I was a little surprised not to receive an upgrade offer, but wrote it off to a TMO-only feature. But when I tried to initiate my fourth patrol, I encountered something new (to me) when I looked at my Operational Order. It said only "ERROR: No primary objective found". The bad part is it only lets me go back from the Orders screen - I cannot start from port (Pearl Harbor). obviously without orders. There is something else. The date of the Operational Order is July 15, 1942; the ordered Departure Date is July 14, 1942! Something is either miscoded or missing, but I have no idea where to look.:/\\!!
Can anyone help with this one? Any help will be very much appreciated! And they wonder why we drink... :salute:

Sounds like when you took out RSRDC, it borked the campaign files. Something didn't get put back. A JSGME "Compare" would just confuse the fire out of me, with all the changes - same, newer, older stuff... I'd probably just blow the thing away, bring in a "pristine" Silent Hunter 4, and re-install TMO and the patch (salt & pepper to taste, simmer until ready). But, that is three patrols down the "tubes"... sorry, bad torpedo humor...
Using a previous save might change the results of your arrival back to port, and therefore influence the next patrol's assignment, but there's still the hole in the files.
Years of playing TMO without RSRDC, and I've never seen anything like that. I'd suggest trying TMO over a clean install of SH4.

It's very strange. I like the theory of something getting screwed up when I changed to a TMO only setup, but I think I already did just what you suggested. I deleted the files from JSGME, deleted the game files in SH4 and brought in a Pristine copy that I keep in a separate folder, deleted the Rich and Save game files, moved a pre-set group of Mods for TMO only to the JSGME Mods List via the MODS folder, and then restarted everything. That is what bugs me. But just in case I missed something, I'll do it all again and will let you know.
I appreciate the quick responses. Thanks.:Kaleun_Salute:

I would also delete EVERYTHING in the My Documents folder including the /SH4 subfolder. The new installation will create a new My Documents/SH4 folder.

I was going to wait until I finished 3 patrols to see if I could get past missing objective problem, but I wanted you all to know that I did exactly as you suggested. Before doing any deletes, I looked into some of the customized files there and saw remnants from my previous TMO/RSRDC campaigns! So as you suggested, I deleted the whole SH4 folder. After the initial load where I had to reset all my preferences, I then had to manually add the SH4/JSGME Profiles folder so I could save my Mods profile. My guess is that it would have been created automatically after the first patrol, but I decided not to wait. Now it seems to be running smoothly. I'll post the results after trying to start my fourth patrol. The first one went off without a hitch.:Kaleun_Cheers: Thanks again for the help! :Kaleun_Salute:
