Silent Hunter 5 german voices install help

Been away from silent hunter games for well over a year and decided to reinstall and sink some ships.

However I prefer the german voices with English subtitles and so installed game from my cd and chose the custom options but when I try to start the game ubisoft doesn't start the game but decides to download and install Silent Hunter 5.

So I try installing through Uplay but I cant see any custom options that allow me to play with german voices and English subtitiles.

Has something changed if so how do I get both subtitles and german voices.

The cd custom installation is the correct route for the German crew language but did you actually tick the box to select it?
The default language is English.
If you clicked the box correctly then you will hear it.
You cannot install the game from the cd and Uplay.
Remember to update your game to v1.2.

I installed the game from the cd using the custom installation option choosing english with german voices but everytime I tried to start the game uplay would try and download and reinstall it.

Hi skip
Uninstall the game launcher from the Control Panel's Program and Features.
Replace it with this genuine one.

You can install it on any drive and in any folder.
Run your game SH5.exe as an administrator.
Go to the game launcher folder and look for UbisoftGameLauncher Application (not the 64 one)
Run this application also as an administrator.
Now click on it to start Uplay.
You should be able to login ok providing that a year ago it was the same cd as you have now installed.
You will need your login.
email address.
May ask you for the CD key?
Where you see the games tab this should show you your SH5 game still is recorded by Uplay.
