Remind me not to tell my Mum, she might snap and go insane, she hates the original :haha:
Actually, I might tell her :D

No. Remakes usually just highlight the failings to live up to the originals for me.

So, the will? Main beneficiary, right? :haha:
I don't know if a remake would be anywhere as good as the original. The basic class frictions and fallacies that drove the original are pretty much gone now and, in an age of Human Resources, harassment, and PC, a lot of the comedy fodder has disappeared...

That's it in a nutshell. It was of its time and we just don't laugh at heavy innuendo like we used to

These things should be left well alone and enjoyed for what they originally were, not tried to be improved upon and ruined (Dads Army, I'm looking at you.)
From the article....
The one-off revival will be screened in September as part of a BBC season celebrating 60 years of the television sitcom.
Sounds like one episode only, not a whole series.

I just wish they would continue the series 'Death in Paradise' with Kris Marshall, Josephine Jobert and the rest of the cast with occasional visits from the actors that have gone on to other things. As for 'Are You Being Served' and 'Are You Being Served Again', I personally think it has run its course. I have both sets and have watched them enough so that I just about know each actors lines in each episode.
Anytime they do a remake of some show or movie, they're usually screw it up pretty badly..... British and US.
