Hi, new to this forum , started with panzer elite , loved the gameplay and being able to fight from inside the tank. Hated the 2d graphics. Found panzer elite action, excellent gameplay, excellent graphics, Drat not able to fight from inside vehicles. The wold of tanks , love it but hate taking a w.w.2 tank against a cold war vehicle. Would love historically correct battles with German v russian or allies. But that's not how it works . Years ago I came across a game called T34 v tiger, this was it crewing inside tank , good graphics and correct physics . Ionged for this game for years but could never find one . Finally one is on its way from Japan , I cannot wait.

Have you tried the PP2-x mod (http://pedg.yuku.com/forums/52/PP2X#.V6cvrqKrGZg) for Panzer Elite? Not all the vehicles have yet got the improved, 3d suspension treatment but those that have, look much better:

Also worth trying is Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942 (http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-SFURY/steel-fury-kharkov-1942). The stock game is limited in theatre and playable vehicles but with the latest mod (STA (http://stasf2008.ephpbb.com/forum)), though still mostly Eastern Front, it more than rivals Panzer Elite. Seen below is a Jagdpanther in action against the Churchills of the Scots Guards in the famous battle on Hill 226 during Operation Bluecoat, one of the missions I contributed to the 'Schulze's Diary' campaign:

...and yes, SF '42 does have gunsight views (Jadgtiger engaging late production Shermans)...

looking at the pics inspired me , resurrected my panzer elite and modded it to pe3 . getting back into it , such good gameplay. There have been a lot of improvements since I last played it , excellent work by the modders. Loving T34 v Tiger as well , a true sim .
