“Hillside Mechwarriors” - The f uture Begins.
This posting has a story attached - in the all purpose terrorism thread. Mainly a little movie - badly written and performed.
The critics are miserable. Despite terror, women, money, intrigues, slaves, naked sex (ok, no naked sex) - especially the absence of barbarians is criticised.
Just like with Jupiter Ascending, the movie of the century - yet. Some confused story of a Russian cleaning woman, fighting aliens in bombastic CGI. Totally absurd story, only the light minded like it.
If you want to watch it, I'd like to quote Jeff-Groves: pay attention and try to keep up! If you are only lightly minded, stay with the Avengers.

In short: Industry 4.0 and the robot force. The robots pay Mr. Barrow 200 credits more - to work for him on the hill, weaving baskets and cutting trees.
They only need some energy, some grease, some programming and maintenance. Mr. Barrow shall have not only 100 credits to be saved from the taxes.
We ex-workers shall be granted a base income - by the Barrows. They are generous people and care for once employed workers traditionally. A tickle down effect and stuff...
The community will pay the base income. We shall consume the Barrobots' products, but will be denied the jobs to better ourselves. We may play like children, hunt Pokemons - and buy some cheap bread. Testing food stamps and the public reaction has to be done. Hartz4 in Germany, maybe some experiments in Greece? Maybe we could check how people react on flying robots killing defined surplus population? Rolling robots, killing defined surplus population at home? Oh, wait...
We could build robots making nuke sneakers - even individualized ones - here in Ansbach/Germany and somewhere in the US. The jobs in Asia would be transfered back to us. Well, not the 1000 shoe-glue slave-jobs, but the 25 robot construction jobs. A few people would have work - as long as the robots don't take over and construct robots. Could be more profitable, for the robot construction entrepreneur of course.
And maybe we could even have a robot at home, to make us shoes and stuff. The construction data could be transfered via internet? Buy the idea, use the construct, but don't own it! Rent a nuke - pay a monthly fee. Nuke owns the shoes our robots constructed, we run them. Could be a brilliant new system of economics for the entrepreneurs. Let's use some data, some information - and make money with it?
It's not so sure if they need us any longer. The world may be considered massively overpopulated. There are some 20% in Europe and the US, who take 80% of the global ressources right now.
And China has already experimented with the one child policy. Maybe not too bad for us. Our actual empire could act efficiently, to grant more profit. Kill the 20% and profit 80% ressources? Nah - that's our consumers base. Phew.
Some blankets with small pox maybe? No, it is considered to be genocide. Not for all and not for all situations of course. Maybe we could kill some second world population and free at least some profit?
Would we be able to contain Ebola? Wanna test it? Some could get medicine, some not - because they can't pay for it. Capitalism's ugly face smiles at the majority again.
Some better qualified will have some jobs - building, progamming (until robots can take over) - while the majority enjoys a high living standard, we'll learn. The community will have to take credit - from the corporations. They have enough money - taking it right now from us - and then even more from the robots. The community will have to hand over the rest of the public property - as interest. It works right now, and it will intensify.
Legalized privatization (legal robbery) of estate and means of production is heating up faster and faster. Some soil in Ukraine for the Barrows? Some robot company in Germany for the Shibaozhai Master?
The corporations don't take credits and pay interest, they bathe in money and store billions at the banks for interest. So the interest is decreasing and the banks have to get some taxmoney to survive. You may have become aware of it.
All this happens not within a day, just as Rome hasn't been built in one day. Will it be a straight path? No. We'll see some Resistance - some “sheep terrorists” trying to take control - and they may even succeed - for a few days. Only for a few days? Maybe we should join the Resistance together, control the robots and have a happy family life? A peaceful caring neighbourhood? Free robo-gras for the world? The sheep are convinced it is not their nature. Am I considered a passive terrorist now?
Robotism is the future. And we sheep are not planned to be part of the few wolves controlling the robots, but of the bread eating gamers. If we rise above the community, kill a few bread eaters, follow the wolves rules, they may have fun with it - and keep a few of us sheep alive. Maybe one of your children?
