There are times I am embarrassed at how terrible a person I really am.

But I just find a news story about men falling off a cliff trying to get collects in Pokemon-go to be funny.

I am glad that no one died, but to be honest, I would probably have found it equally funny if they had. Like I said, I am a terrible person.

But really, you get so involved in a game, with no real pay off, that you fall off a cliff?

Despite the zoological inaccurate analogy: Lemmings

I am sure that psychologists will be studying the effects of pokeman-go instead of studying people like me who get amusement when stupid people doing stupid things get hurt. :D

If it were kids getting hurt, that's a different story -- not funny in the least. But when adult men fall off a cliff trying to get a pokemon capture. Sorry, humanity, that's funny... to me anyway.
n parts of San Diego County, there are warning signs for gamers not to play while driving. San Diego Gas and Electric tweeted (https://twitter.com/SDGE/status/753656140047581185) a warning to stay away from electric lines and substations when catching Pokémon.
As Bill Engvall says, "Here's your sign."

I try not to think about adult pokemon-go players voting.

The real idiots are the developers who put poison gas Pokèmons (Pokèmen?) in the Holocaust museum :nope:

As for the kid hit by a motorcycle, it doesn't say whether the motorcyclist was also playing :hmmm:

Ah, the age old 'do you blame the object or do you blame the people' question.
Stupid people are stupid, the actual game itself tells you whenever you boot it up to be aware of your surroundings, if people can't listen to that it's not the games fault. :O:

I'm certainly noticing a growing number of people walking the streets whilst playing in my town :hmm2:

I'll start to worry if I catch the wife joining in :)

Eh, it gets people out and about, so it's all good.

I suppose it's really no different than the people who have been walking off piers and into fountains for years now, while checking their FaceBook accounts on their phones.

You could also make the case that's it's not much different than the Telsa owner who blissfully unaware let his expensive car drive him into the side of a truck while enjoying the fantasy of a Harry Potter movie

We do love our gadgets. To distraction and death sometimes.

Around the Calgary area, there's been a few injuries and fatalities the last 10 years or so from people with headphones/earbuds on while walking on or beside railway tracks. Pretty hard to believe they don't have the sense to realize what kind of danger they are putting themselves in.
