After playing SH2, SH3, and SH4 for years, I've finally decided to take the plunge and go for SH5 now that there are thoroughly vetted mods that correct the issues.
What I need to know is, which source for SH5 would be best for me to purchase with the intent of implementing the best mods and/or megamods?
There is of course Steam, but that's not always the best choice for modding. Sometimes Steam will not like the mods installed.
Then there are DVDs, but I have read somewhere, and I can't find it again despite searching for the info (should have bookmarked it), that there is more than one SH5 DVD, some of which have onerous DRM onboard and others that come without the DRM problem.
So the question is, Steam or DVD, and if the answer is DVD, which DVD? How do you identify the "good" DRM-free DVDs, and who sells them? Links to known good DVDs would be very helpful.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and mostly play single player due to my crappy Internet connection, if that info is helpful in advising.
Thanks guys!:salute:
