As far from submarines as one can get without going to space, I suppose.

If you enjoy aerobatics and air races, and have some finds, or better yet, your own videos of aerial stunts and awesomeness, then please share.

I start off with this one, from 2 years back

An even older one, the German airforce displaying tactical low altitude flying skills

That's not the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) but the German Army Aviation (Heeresflieger).:know:

Ah! Thanks for that correction :salute:

That's the 70's and 80's for you.

Just finished watching the Budapest airshow. I flew observer on the model aircraft shown at minute 1:00 and 2:43. Vintage Vietnam era aircraft Cessna O-2 Skymaster a.k.a. 'Mix Master' at least thats what the aircraft looked like to me. :hmmm:

That German vid, the BO105 helicopter is one heck of a design. Some radical low G maneuvers. Try those with a Huey or a Cobra and the rotor mast could very well come off in seconds. No wonder it's the heli of choice for the Red Bull air display team.

And yup, it does look like a O-2 there in that other vid.

One of the best there is

and a bit of a legend

and one all out show flight

Awesome vid there and I see what you're saying. However, those are not low to zero g maneuvers. Have a look here for what I mean
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm8iV_uiBsI
(not an awesome stunt vid, rather an instructional film but at least it has more of that 70's and 80's music)

Compare what they talk about with the moments the German helicopter "jump over" the trees at 0:20, 1:11 etc.

The Huey/Cobra and the 105 have two very different rotor systems. One in susceptible to mast bumping, the other is not.

Could fill a page and probably a whole lot more with aerobatic displays I've seen at the airshows I've attended.

I'll stay on home turf, here's a British Army Lynx performing 'Back Flips'.

Do feel free to fill up as many pages you like.

That Lynx is one awesome machine. The Lamborghini of helicopters they call it, fast and nimble as...

One of my favourite Lynx clips, courtesy of the Danish navy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJIZTL2ZyEw
(may not be aerobatics but the control the pilot has is right up there at top division)

Speaking of nimble. Watch 0:56 for some surrealism
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBVafIdbsqk

Another super maneuverable one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9Mocle6Wzk

And one hell of a maneuver at the 0:15 mark
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-VNSJMiNt0

How useful that maneuver would be in combat is another story but for airshows, it's a real crowd pleaser.

Some high adrenaline racing
