What happens when fatigue goes down fully?

I have never had a guy run fully low of fatigue since I'm worried that they will die or something like that?

But what happens when the fatigue goes fully down, since I put the crew on rest as soon as the "!" on their icons appear....

Their efficiency goes down. The dive guys will fail to keep depth levels, the torpedo men take longer to load. The radio man fails to intercept radio messages, hydrophone (who normally hears 20km out) will fail to hear things and call them out to you, your watch crew fail to see ships, this is really bad in stormy weather. Also, if the men are really low on fatigue, it takes longer to rest th m. So don't do that! Keep up with their management!

Just to add, when you see the E next to their name, their endurance has suffered because they have been overworked. This means that if they are rested their efficiency will remain low for rest of patrol.

No problem. I usually am very attentitive to crew management until ready to attack. Once I spot a convoy, I place a fresh crew in all compartments and let it go until my attack is over. Then I go back to managing it again. If you have a productive patrol, you will find your crew will be fatigued no matter what you do.

from where did you get this information? Did you test it? I always thought the 'E' just indicates crew members close to their lowest value :hmmm:

Don't forget about the patrols with constant bouts of stormy weather... My last patrol was about two weeks long and I had several storms with only a one to two day break in between. Whole crew ended up being fatigued by the time I made it back to base.

Depth keeping, hydrophone contacts, deck watch, torpedo reloading... All took a major hit. Especially after a 3 hour DC dance when my deck watch almost let me ram a Black Swan class. :nope:

LGN1, it's just from experience. You will see it when it happens. Especially watch crew. Their values decrease and you will be faced with incidents that occur that normally do not such as Hambone said, running into ships that you should have been warned about several KM out!

I really suggest you try it out and let some of your men get tired in different posts on your boat. It will enlighten you as to the limitations to your men! Important stuff to know.
