Need help with Destroyer Command

Hello there.
I have stuck in Torpedo Attack mission, Pacific campaign. There is three Japaneese battleships. You must sink at least one of them under cover of night with 8 destroyers.
These battleships just eradicate my destroyers in close range. I tried various formations and approaches, constantly using evading tactics, and if I do some damage - I can't run away. And I can't fire torpedoes on long range - these battleships always change their course and speed.
Can somebody give me any advice?
I like surface ships and surface ships combat very much. I have readed some books about naval tactics and other things. But this mission is just impassable for me.

SlayerGG!:Kaleun_Salute: Put your 8 destroyers in one Column Line-of-battle ahead; Set torpedoes on a wider spread; each vessel with it's own target at a greater distance: 5000 meters. The rear vessel to aim at the front battleship and the front vessel (presumably your flagship) to fire at the rear battle ship with the middle six of the column also alternating targets so as to create a general whole lotta torpedoes heading for the Jap BB's, set for correct depth of course. Something's gotta hit; transfer your flag as required,:O: :timeout: :dead: When the torpedoes begin to strike, increase the distance to 8000 meters and bring all 8 destroyers' turret guns to bear on the struck BB's, one at a time, and pour it on till each is destroyed. Good practice is the Scharnhorst- two destroyer Murmansk convoy scenario.
