ALONE............

Just finished watching the TV reality show ALONE and can't help but feeling the show is scripted in season 2.
Points in question are as follows:

1 Show is filmed in same location and looks to be same time of year as last year.
2 Meeting some of the cast and some not up to long term selection standards.
Example: first guy out military back ground, few hours out alone if any, BEAR noises
3 Placing said contestants in areas that are harsher than other spots. Thus thinking leading to
Failure.
4 Telling contestants not to eat shellfish because of red tide, but fish is ok???

What's you're take on the show and strategy and projection of said winner?

Can I Eat Fish during a Red Tide?
• Finfish caught alive are safe to eat after they have been gutted and well rinsed. Shrimp and crabs caught alive are also safe to eat.
• Commercial seafood in restaurants and grocery stores is safe to eat because it is regulated and harvested from waters
free of red tide.
• It is not safe to eat fish killed from a red tide. The cooking process does not deactivate Brevetoxins.
• It is not safe to eat oysters and other filter-feeding shellfish from a red tide area. Shellfish concentrate brevetoxins during red tides and cause a serious food poisoning in humans called Neurotoxic Shellfish Poisoning.
If the fish is alive u can eat it but I wouldn't anyhow:D

I guess that was a bit vague on the start of a thread. I wanted to discuss the 2nd season of the History Channel " ALONE" and get the forums thoughts about it. Bushcraft / survival during fall in British Columbia, Canada

After watching the show I thought I could do this if need be in real life situation.
I have some choices of contestants but will list them awhile later.

Desmond White tapped out after being dropped at his area 7 hours earlier.

I believe I would have scouted around more to get further away from the bears before the tap out, and then determined my choice. But that goes to the psychological factor of the area.

Of the 10 contestants these are my choices:

I think that Tracy Wilson will last longer than the other two females competing , because children are grown and her back ground in military and law enforcement. Although her weight could factor in and present problems.

I like the cool manner about Jose Martinez Amoedo and think he will do well. Not much was shown in first episode on him , but he will be my choice to win the title and $ 500,000 .

Of the other contestants there were a lot of rookie mistakes that lead me to my choices......
Getting wet, camp set-up,and fire skills.
