GameFront is Closing Down April 30, 2016

So GameFront is closing down (http://www.gamefront.com/gamefront-is-closing-down-april-30-2016/) and they urge everyone to download their files since they won't be available any more after April 30.

I don't know how many mods are still hosted on that site but we should try to save any essentials mods in case the original authors are not around any more and the files are not available from other sources.

My work as well as the GWX files are suitably spread across numerous alternative sources.

Shame to see another file haven go down though.

Just my opinion, but I think FileFront/GameFront died years ago. It just took this long for them to notice. :dead:

Just popped in for the first time in a year or so, most of my stuff has gone but I am not bothered as its all here on Subsims now.

As far as I'm concerned they died in 2010 when they changed hands and issued the if there aren't x number of downloads in a month we flush your files. All my mods, and any I had control of that the author wasn't around any more immediately came to Subsim. All my videos went to You Tube and I never went back to GameFront/FileFront again.

All I know, I won't chance it.

Be sure to upload copies here, of any files you guys get off GameFront. :yep: It's fine to store them on other media banks but it's a matter of time before they go dark too. File storage ain't cheap.
