What is your absolutely, divinely favourite CHEESE?

http://i.imgur.com/nzt9HkM.jpg ... mine would be a mature, tangy cheddar, such as "Lincolnshire Poacher"

Say cheeeese :D

Cheddar is nice, also on a tasty burger, but when it comes to swiss, french and corse cheese.. :yeah:

I cannot pick one, there are a lot of excellent ones. Appenzeller is very good, as is old ripe Gouda 'Amsterdam' type, or Tête de Moines. And all those camemberts, and goat cheese..

And then, there is "Harzer Käse" :03:

Statistically, half the answers on here should be government cheese. :har:

This is mine http://static.meijer.com/Media/000/77017/0007701743120_0200.png, but only when it's made just right. Got a bad batch last time.

Yeah, STEED: that's especially nice crumbled onto a frittata, or melted over a big baked potato.

http://i.imgur.com/y8EN9Rd.jpg Here's my son's favourite: Double Gloucester with onion and chives. It's not crumbly like cheddar... it's almost 'sticky'. Yum!

I agree, Pepperjack and cheddar are good choices and what's a pizza without Mozzarella cheese ? I understand they are all squirrel approved as well. :D

Stilton, Morbier, Harze...... Too many to choose from.

That "Tillamook" is making my mouth water.

And yes, CW... hot, stringy mozzarella is perfect on a deep-pan pizza, filled with peppers and tomato! I had exactly that last night, with a glass of South African Pinotage Shiraz. I said to my wife, "Of all the thing you can have your red wine with, it always seems to taste best with pizza".

A mild or medium cheddar plus a nice mellow edam.

Is it Edam or Gouda you can get with the cumin seeds. I love it. I think it's a Dutch breakfast cheese.

Usually it is Gouda.

I wouldn't say no to some 'Old Amsterdam'
