Though some of questions could be answered just by looking at the answers and eliminating choices that didn't make a lick of sense.:88)

Interesting exercise. I scored 33 but take issue with one of the questions; I shan't enlarge upon this for now, as it might spoil it for others.

One of the questions was either wrong itself or a trick question. The other I honestly didn't know, and for honesty's sake didn't look up.
On the other hand there were two others I didn't know, but got them both with lucky guesses.

Some of the things which where asked about I'd never even heard of and I disagree with what a certian question considered as class of warship which is normally reserved for things like battleships:doh:.

34/35.
Apart from that I knew nearly all the answers by just reading the question the other choices where....really giving it away most of the time.

I hardly believe that. As some said here like the squirrely one who likes cheese and Steve, one was wrong and some of the others questions may have been misleading or trick questions. The British ships lost completely threw me.
Thanks for posting the questions though. It made me think which always gives me a headache. :O:

I found question 15 misleading by the word - "major" anyone else feel the same?
I could have got 34 right..

That's what we've all been talking about, while trying not to talk about it.
32/35, stumbled on the same one as everyone else (warships), also the number of Soviet civilian deaths, and who Britain signed that 20 year treaty with.

This one really pissed me off since it was so subjective:

34/35. I faltered on the major warship like most. I guessed on the answer to the Dambusters squadron leader question but got lucky.

missed two.
One I had no idea who the Bevin Boys were.
The other I got wrong was when I pressumed to think 'major' meant 'capital'.

Pretty subjective use of the term major, although they had a major effect collectively. Makes you wonder if the authors of the quiz ever saw those pictures of U-Boats being mass-produced.

30 of 35 and stumbled on Bevin Boys, major ships, arrested author and I forget what else since I did the test hours ago.
Some of the questions were very easy unless you just had no idea about when and who was in the war.

The other I got wrong was when I pressumed to think 'major' meant 'capital'.
I missed that one, and the author.
Does anyone know how many capital warships were sunk in WWII?

If you count everything from battleship down to light cruiser (including light carriers) probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 150. It depends on the term sunk too. A lot of Axis vessels just got scuttled, discarded or run aground as the war wore down.

34, but submarines are NOT major battleships. I-400, Surcouf, M-1, but still – no.

Well in for a penny... we might as well all vent our collective spleen on this quiz now that I've also given an answer away.
You wouldn't call a destroyer a "major warship", so why on earth would you put a U-Boat in that category? It's not even a ship.
I got the 20-year mutual assistance treaty question wrong, like Oberon, which is fair enough. And I didn't use any of the 'hint' buttons, whatever they did.

34/35 Didn't know the number of Russians lost during the conflict and yes, I agree, the number of 'major' warships was a tricky one but I guessed correctly.

Yup-same problem: I think they meant 'capital vessel' U-boots iss not a major warship imho; I missed that one-my failure to 'dumb-down': 34/35
