Shipman 80 ft sailboat made by Seaway, the shipyard based in Slovenia since 1983.

I approve of this sailboat for dream lovers:

As a matter of fact I did :haha:
Well, depends on the launch year.

Been working for Seaway since 2007 to 2015 when the company went bust and now I'm working for SVP Avio, the company that took over the reigns.

How did you not know about Betonov,, our boat-building, beer-drinking, garden-digging, dog-walking, khukri-wielding Slovenian, who wanders the lonely Carpathian mountains only stopping now and then to light camp fires and dream of the red-haired women who've rejected him :haha:

The Alps :O:

Fun fact, the boatyard is nowhere near the coast.
It's in Upper Carniola, nestled into an Alpine basin. So if it sounds that the boats are made in a workshop under a mountain it's because the boats are made in a workshop under a mountain. And to top it all off, we're even protected by a medieval castle :)

I am so sorry on where Slovenia is (not was,uh) for some reason I thought you were on the Black Sea not the Baltic Sea. You work for a very well respected company Betonov. :yep:

Your products are even on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9nwmtviWVw

Adriatic sea.

The company (if you look at the map you posted) is about under where it says g. Kamen right under the huge Slovenija text. Smack in the middle of the mountain area.

The company is about to enter a new golden era. New capable bosses and millions or Russian investments :yeah:

Strange place for a shipyard :hmmm:

I know.
But for some reason people from upper Carniola are excellent boatbuilders while the people from Istria (coast) have trouble inflating one

Right next to Seaway is Elan, also a boatbuilding company and 10km further up the basin in Jesenice are 2 more boatyards

Oh, one more thing. Shipman yachts have a retractable keel so they can dock in harbors too shallow for other sailboats.

Retractable keels are the way to go, especially if you want to get off the beaten path for some secluded privacy. We had a Peterson 44 with a cutway keel drafting 6'3". Our choices were mostly if not always limited to anchoring with the rest of the herd.

That it is.

Reminds me of a joke I might have read few days ago on Subsim:
Europeans be like: I drove to the Netherlands for shopping and on my way home I stopped in Germany for coffee.
Texans be like: I started in Texas and after driving for 4 hours I'm still in Texas

Our main export it the Greenline range of boats.
It's a hybrid boat (http://greenlinehybrid.si/) that can run on diesel or sunshine :)

Well, strange things have happened since they split from the Czech Republic... :know:

Cherry mead is called Odin's blood here, commonly sold on mediaval markets. Maybe you should market it as Duce's blood to sell it in your country. (please gib license costs if you start a business with that idea!)

No, that's Transylvania. It's the national drink of vampires everywhere. :D. Awesome boats Betonov.
