Well gentlemen, if you need me, i will be up to my eyeballs in paperwork in McKinney, Texas for the next 30 to 200 days. (longer the better)

I don't get many jobs close to home, and this one is 90 minutes drive down the road. so I'm super stoked about riding it out as long as possible. with any luck, I'll be complaining about it come December!

I'll check in as frequently as i can, but I'm sure i'll be a ghost lurking around here more so than i will be posting or commenting on things.

Do they keep you that busy you can't post every so often?

Are you taking the new rv?

My contract is 12 hour days, 7 days a week until the assignment is complete.

I'll be working two story houses which means i'll probably be required to only visit three houses a day. (on commission i shoot for 5)

Generally My day has a 7am start on the clock, I'll sign in on my company laptop, occasionally there will be a meeting or a conference call, respond to e mails, check voice mails, return calls etc.

8:00 am - 10:00 am - 1st house inspection

10:00 am - 12:00 pm - 2nd house inspection

12:00pm - 1:00 pm - lunch break and return missed calls

1:00pm - 3:00pm - 3rd house inspection

3:00pm - 4:00pm - i'll make an office run to drop off paperwork and complete menial tasks.

4:00pm - *7:00pm* - When i get to the hotel or RV I'll scarf down a sandwich or a TV dinner, prepare paperwork for tomorrow and get it in order. Get on the computer and check my list of new assignments, print them, map them, call the customers and get them on my calendar, if i am behind on any paperwork i do that now. (**this process more realistically lasts until about 9:00pm or later depending on how much there is**)

9:00 - 10:00 - phone calls home to the wife, TV, Netflix, Subsim time, facebook time etc then go to bed

do it all over again tomorrow - And thats if the whole day runs perfectly with no snags or surprises

Sundays i schedule light to do laundry and grocery shopping, haircut, wash the truck etc. its like a reset period that requires me to go go go all day long.

its a hectic lifestyle, but I'll make more in 1 month than i did in an entire year as a regional airline pilot.

compared to my current schedule for the past 113 days which as been do whatever i want all day and sleep as much or as little as i care to :haha: its quite a change of pace that has to be adapted to over night.

the storm events that struck the DFW area this past week and a half were pretty widespread and caused a lot of damage. with that said there are a LOT of roofers, paintless dent repair guys, insurance adjusters etc that have swooped into DFW by the thousands to catch a ride the money train... there is not one RV park in the DFW area without a 30 day wait list. so i will be holed up in a motel for at least 3-5 weeks before i can get the RV up there. I'm pretty disappointed about that :nope: really cuts into the bottom line. saving money is almost more vital than making it. gotta watch that bottom line and the reality of it is that one week at a hotel costs as much as a whole month or more at an RV park.

so i will post and comment here... just not nearly as often:shifty:
