I was recently rewatching The Imitation Game and the scene of the crossword puzzle test intrigued me, so I looked on the Net for a copy of the actual puzzle. Here is the puzzle from 1942:

Never been much good at crosswords but I can certainly recommend the move 'The Imitation Game' to everyone. The end actually brought a few tears to my eyes.
