Streaming via OBS

Has anyone been able to stream SH3 on Twitch or Hitbox using OBS?

A friend wants to watch me play but all i get is a black screen using Window/Display/Game capture.

I probably might be able to help. I have OBS and I remember there was alot of mucking around it get it set up correctly. Followed up on some tutorials that got it working, so I'll see if I can chase it up again.

Seems like the problem is that OBS is still focusing on your windows desktop even after you've opened SH3 or another other application which is why the screen is black. This was the same problem I've had. The other is reason is that OBS may not like SH3, but that seems unlikely.

So first things first, are you using OBS for the first time? Are you able to record any other games? The problem might be is that you don't have your scene or sources set up correctly. If it is, I can share my set up and that might have some success for you.

Thanks for the replies, I have used OBS a few times and have no problems with other games.

I was streaming SH V for a while to him last night making a big mess of things as the keys are different the UI is clumsey and WoS disables contacts on map. :rotfl2:
