View Full Version : Problems with download caps?
Hello fellow sub simmers, quick question, any issues with download limits or donor mod section? Cant access any DLs for days now.
Emailed support a few days ago, but no answer. Have caught the SH bug again and need mods desperately...lol.
Cheers for any help;)

Download limits are governed by your posting habits. The more you post, the more you can download. Alternatively you can donate (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/payments.php) to helping SubSim.
Either way, your download limits are tied to your participation in our community. :sunny:
Thanks Sailor Steve, more a lurker here than a participant, thought being a donor would bypass it, obviously not, maybe these posts will help.
Cheers.

Hi Pointy,
Being a donor does actually help. Depending on your donation or sub(scription), pardon the pun - sometimes I can't help but be corny, I believe it'll give you different levels of download which are described in the donor section.
Did you donate and nothing changed?
Thanks siege00:up:
Initially I downloaded most of what I needed to get me up and running for SH5, searched for my beloved Grey Wolves for SH3 (for the notebook), realised its now in a bonus mod section.
No drama I thought, donated and downloaded, then all download access ceased.
Has been a while since I played SH and thought I needed a map tool mod for manual calcs but, can live with what's there, so desperation averted.
It's ok, I do think it's a post volume thing as Steve stated, read there is a 24 hour antispam thing also, so am confident all will be well tonight.
This post is now too long:D
Thanks muchly to all
Damn, still no joy.:/\\!!

Did you try reaching out to Neal Stevens? http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/member.php?u=209959
You may want to try sending him a PM.
Got his email this morning, after I realised I had a lifetime ban!
Turns out my lovely partner, who has access to my PayPal saw the donor transaction, jumped the gun, put in a fraudulent complaint to PayPal, called me after the fact to double check, withdrew the claim and didn't tell me thinking all would be well.
Poor Neal refunded the donation and I copped a ban!.....drama!
Sorry Mr Stevens, looks like the cash went through again and should be no more issues.
Thing is I wasn't fussed with the bonus section, already had an old version of grey wolves from years ago, just thought it was a fair deal to show some support. Really needed DWs ui in the free section.
Either way all sorted, thanks for everyone's help once again and sorry for the hassle Neal. :salute:
