For 'Crash Dive' I would recommend setting up a hotkey in TDW's Options File Editor Viewer.
I use the 'X' key as it is easy to find, when every second counts.
Peter
Yep, as you wish :) i got used to default since i like that with shift you have everything on the same keys but more intensive :)

Ahead Slow in seems to me to be a bit fast at nearly 7 knots.
One way to get around this is to setup a hotkey using TDW's Option File Editor Viewer > Fuel Tab
The default setting around 7.5 knots is pretty close to Ahead Slow.
Using a hotkey for example like 'U' this can then be used to customize a slower knot speed.
It could even be set at 1 knot for escaping DD's after a torpedo attack as an extreme example.
Used with the '@' key for 'All Stop' this give you 2 keys for creeping slowly away using start and stop.

6-7.5 knots depending of sub weight (patrol start/end), to be exact...I took these data from type VII technical documentation...:yep:

Is it still inaccurate?
I cannot get the sub to stop! Or use the external cameras other than F2
I have also used the options file editor/viewer to map a key to crashdive and have set it to
Crash dive True,MenuKeyManagerWrapper.Keys.P,True,False,False ,False Hotkey for crash dive
So I think I have enabled it and set it to Shift P. Saved it in Option File Editor and restarted the game, but it doesnt work. Do I have to do something with JSGME?

DO NOT use the F7 Battle Station key when the Deck Gun needs to be manned by the crew or yourself.
The Deck gun will remain in the position it was last firing in even if you manually try to change it.
Use the Battle Station icon from the Watch Officer.
When the Watch Officer Battle Station Icon is turned off the Deck Gun will always return to its correct starting position.

Hi ridley
No the F1 keyboard will not work for everyone.
You might find another key will do the same action
Qwerty and Azerty keyboards act differently
You can always use a keymapper to customize your own settings
I use Church's keyboard mod because I do not like the W-A-S-D keys and prefer the arrow keys as you use for moving around in the maps.
Another advantage not availabe in other keyboards apart from Stormy's is the Z key giving an instant hydrophone bearing from the sonar man.
F2 camera is mouse scroll for magnification and cannot remember whether it is the arrow keys or W-A-S-D to move around.
TDW's Option File can be changed in 2 ways.
Disable the mods first > make the changes > save > enable mods.
Edit the TheDarkWraithUserOptions py file with the mods enabled.
There is no braking system as such other than throwing the engine in the opposite direction.
Speed needs to be carefully handled as the sub will continue to move even at 0 knots for a short distance.

Hi Castout
There is no need to duplicate your questions.
Your question in TWOS will always be answered by somebody and of course there is always the master himself Vecko.

Guys I have a question about sound.
What about Das Boot Speech mod? Not the music, the sounds in general, are they included in WoS or need to be replaced into vanilla folders?

Hi risen
In TDW's OFEV go to the Crash Dive Tab and click on Hotkey which will open as showing in the picture.
https://i.postimg.cc/26TYLgQ3/OFEV-Crash-Dive.jpg
Then go to File and Save the change.
There is a OFEV PDF in the TWoS Documentation folder.

Jus a small correction because this can potentially mislead some...It's double-click on "hotkey"...:yep::salute:
