Is there any guide or tips about which skill should be avoided to not introduce any sort of artificial or less realistic effect?

I mean it is said that skills related to morale should be maximized due to morale bug and Crush Depth should be maximized to have a more realistic behavior. I've also found out here (http://www.uboataces.com/tactics-surfaced.shtml) that torpedo usually took 10 min per tube to be reloaded but without improving the skill it takes about 25 min.

Since i'm a type of guy that prefer realism but don't like artificial difficulties, i would like to know if i missed any thread about this topic.

If I'm not mistaken you are playing with TWoS , right?:hmm2:

All crew abilities in TWoS are tuned not to produce any significant unrealistic effect. Some abilities are even removed, like overcharge electric engines, repair destroyed items ect...
Now, this information about 10min per tube is somewhat surprising for me because, during my research, I found on several places that it will take more than 1h to reload all 4 tubes. There were also many more factors involved in torpedoes reloading speeds like, crew skill, sea state, submarine longitudinal axis angle ect... Therefore, I think 20 min for trained crew is pretty much realistic time...:hmm2:

It's all that i need. About the reload time was just an example, i'd say that i've just reported a source but i also thought that 10 min is a too tight call (maybe it takes into consideration the faster theoretical time and not the average which might be way higher)

Yeah...Info on this subject is somewhat sparse but indeed, 10 minutes really seems too "tight"...:hmm2:

Sorry to bring this up again but i have noticed that, for Bosun, when you maximize "Confident Office" skill the ability morale decay related to it does not increase like others.
I just want to report this thing that i might have misunderstood or might be only a visual bug.

I spotted the same and my first guess is - visual glitch, but I'll investigate further...
Note that almost all crew abilities bars are somewhat messed up on game level and you shouldn't rely too much on them. In some cases, the bar will show positive increase even in situations when abilities are suffering certain penalties... If you hover your mouse over some ability icon in your crew page, a tooltip will pop-up telling you what exactly you should expect from that particular ability. Then you can compare resulting bar values and pretty soon you'll get the picture what is going on...
